Count unique occurrences of values in a matrix.

Parameters:

• filename_in – Input file path for the matrix

• filename_out – Output file path for the unique counts matrix

• dtype – Data type of the matrix (default: float)

• ignore – Data value to ignore

• instance_type – type of cloud instance used for processing
